Our eldest, Ben, has transitioned from being the local fish and aquarium guru into a professional cook. After beginning as a line cook, he has worked his way up the ladder into a position comparable to a sous chef where he developed his talents at several small restaurants, and is currently at an upscale Italian restaurant.
Ben spent time overseas with our daughter, Jessie. They backpacked around Great Britain for 3 months... and loved it. After falling in love with Great Britain and travel, Jessie and Ben decided to take a second trip this time for 6 months and the plan was to include more of northern Europe. They left home in February 2015, spent 3 months in Great Britain again then said this is too cold... "Let's go to Southeast Asia" So off they went to Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and South Korea. This trip favorites were Scotland and South Korea. But ... there's no place like home. at least my opinion. They have been home now long enough to get settled back into the groove.
Recently Ben met the new, first and probably only love of his life. Her name is Lilly and we'll keep her too. The more we get to know her the more we like her and appreciate the way that she fits right into our odd family. She's not odd ... we are.
